Submissions


All authors are invited to submit their abstracts/papers on the ProDPM’21 EasyChair Account.


Each paper must be formatted according to the Springer Guidelines for Authors of Proceedings.

Deadline for the submission of full papers – September 1, 2021



After abstract acceptance, all submitted papers will be peer reviewed. All accepted and registered papers will be published in an indexed (Scopus) conference proceedings book with an ISBN number (similar to the previous edition).

Conference Awards:


Similar to the previous edition (please visit the ProDPM’19 webpage), all accepted and registered papers are suitable for the following conference awards:

  • The Best Paper Award will be awarded to authors whose work represents ground-breaking research in their respective areas. This award is sponsored by the company CODI.
    This Award was given to the authors Fabian Soffel, Sergei Egorov, Dominik Keller and Konrad Wegener on their work entitled “CAD/CAM process chain for hybrid additive manufacturing”.
  • The Best Young Researcher Award will be awarded to young researchers, considering both the paper quality (assessed by the Scientific Committee) and the oral presentation quality (feedback given by session chairs at the conference venue). This award is sponsored by the company LANSYS.
    This Award was given to two papers, namely the authors Jiong Yang, Wajira Mirihanage and Paulo Bartolo on their work entitled “Novel Extrusion Based Co-Axial Printing Head for Tissue Engineering” and the authors Xiyao Ni, Thomas Kendall and Paulo Bartolo on their work entitled “Modelling the Material Removal Process of Turbulent Jet Electrochemical Machining of Copper”.
  • The Best Industrial Award will be awarded to authors whose applied research represents a significant scientific/technical contribution towards the industrial community. This award is sponsored by the company S3D.
    This Award was given to the authors Carel Plekker, Francois Kuys, William Allan Kinnear and Jacques Combrinck on their work entitled “Rapid product development: A decision-making matrix for the manufacturing of injection mould inserts for small batch production”.
